Which second passport suits you
Eight questions about what you hold, what you can spend and what you actually need. Then PL Group’s 21 programmes ranked against your answers, each with the one thing wrong with it stated up front.
Answered in your browser, from data that shipped with the page. Your answers are not sent anywhere and not stored, on your device or ours. At the end you can leave an email address if you want an adviser to pick it up, and that address is the only thing that ever leaves this tab.
Travel counts and gains use verified destinations only. Provisional entries are not included in this quiz.
Question 1 of 8
Every question can be skipped. A skipped question is scored as not checked, never as a pass.
How the ranking works
There is no black box here. 5 criteria, fixed weights, one purpose adjustment worth up to 10 points, and a 10 point deduction if you already live in the country. The scoring is in the repository at src/lib/quiz.ts and the list below is generated from the same numbers.
- What it opens up, 30 points
- Destinations the programme's passport reaches that yours do not, counted over verified cells only. A residency programme scores nothing here, because a permit is not a passport.
- Budget, 25 points
- The published minimum against the band you chose. Where the minimum is published in a currency other than dollars we do not convert it, so it is marked not checked rather than guessed at.
- Timeline, 15 points
- The published processing time against your horizon. A programme that starts inside your horizon but can finish outside it scores partly, not fully.
- Time on the ground, 15 points
- The published stay requirement against what you said you would do. Where no requirement is published the criterion is marked not checked.
- Who comes with you, 15 points
- Whether the people you named appear in the published rules. Age limits apply to most of them and are on the programme's own page.
A criterion PL Group does not publish scores half, and is labelled not published. It is never rounded up into a pass. 10 of the 21 programmes publish no stay requirement, so treating silence as a yes would put the quietest programmes at the top, which is the opposite of what this is for.
What this is not
- Not advice. It is arithmetic over published figures, and it is not regulated investment, tax or immigration advice.
- Not confirmed. All 21 programme rows are provisional: read off PL Group’s own public pages on 2026-09-21 and not yet checked back with PL Group. Where their own two pages disagree, the row says so.
- Not a guarantee of admission anywhere, and not a promise that a programme is open, priced as published, or accepting applications today.
The eight questions
- Which passports do you hold today?
- Who would be on the application with you?
- What are you prepared to invest?
- How soon do you need it?
- How much time would you spend in the country?
- Where do you most need to be able to go?
- What is this actually for?
- Do you already hold residency anywhere?
